Crazy Bear Wilderness Lodge has exceptional fishing for Wild Rainbow Trout up to 5 pounds.

Our guests catch an average of 20 to 50 fish every day! Our valley has a chain of 4 Lakesand

connecting streams that offer World Class Fly Fishing for Native Wild Rainbow Trout.

Flies

The lakes are full of aggressive, hard fighting fish that love to devour flies.

Midge, Mayfly, Caddis Fly, Stone Fly and Damsel Fly hatch throughout the summer.

This provides for amazing dry fly fishing all season.

We are the only lodge in the valley and have exclusive Guiding Rights for the waters in our valley.

Due to the remoteness, our lakes have never been overfished, and alot of our fish have never seen an artificial fly or lure.

Spin casting and trolling are also very productive in our lakes. Spinners ("Panther Martins, Martins, Meps and Blue Fox") cast in the shallows, catch alot of fish and  trolling spoons or flatfish are also very effective.

Guides

We have friendly, knowledgeable, licensed Guides at the lodge. We provide a "hands- off" approach to guiding. Our past experience has shown that the majority of our guests prefer to be shown how and where to fish our valley and then venture out on their own. When you first arrive at the lodge one of our guides will sit down with you and explain on the map, all the different fishing opportunities in our chain of 4 lakes.

First Day Fishing

You decide which of the four lakes you wish to fish at.....on your first outing.

Our Guide will then accompany you on your first  day and show you around our valley and show you how to access our other lakes and streams.

( Waterfall, etc)  Then you are welcome to venture out on your own for the rest of your stay.

Boats

We have boats at all four lakes. There are so many different places to fish in our valley of lakes that you can spend a week here and never fish the same waters twice. However, if you prefer to fish in one specific lake, you are welcome to fish at that location more than once.

After the first day a Guide will be available to answer your questions and give advise on where or how to fish, and what lures to use at the location you choose to fish at that day.

Full Guide Service

For those of you who would prefer a Guide to accompany you for

additional days, we offer a full Guiding Service at an additional fee over

the Package Rate.

Fishing Rods

We have fly and spin rods at the lodge for your use if you don't wish to

bring your own gear.

We sell a variety of flies and lures at the lodge and have a

fly tying bench and tying materials at the lodge for guest to use.
